STAMNIK’S Role for Health & Safety

STAMNIK’s role of health and safety is extremely important to us and our workers. The most important asset to our company is our people, which is why we always strive to make health and safety an integral part of our job and daily routines.

The health and safety in our company is taught through many safe work practices, some including: Toolbox Talks, Pre-Entry Meetings, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and employee training. Some of our training includes: WHMIS, Confined Space, Fit Testing, Fall Arrest, and First Aid. Each person is responsible for health and safety, whether they are at work, or at home, and it is our goal to help influence safe work practices in all jobs we do. We expect that all employees who conduct work on or in our workplace(s) will join us in our best efforts to make each and every day a safe one.

In order to prevent workplace accidents and maintain safe and healthy working conditions in all of our workplaces, we will continue to commit ourselves to the following;

• Encourage a pro-active approach to all health and safety issues.
• Work closely with our employees in the prevention of accidents.
• Promote health and safety awareness, training and education.
• Monitor workplace conditions and implement corrective measures where required.
• Consider legislative health and safety requirements as the minimum.

• Every employee will refuse to do work that they know or believe to be unsafe.
• All employees strive to ensure health and safe work practices on the part of other employees and workers.
• Performing our everyday tasks safely and ensuring that our actions do not result in accidents or create unsafe conditions, requires; knowledge of potential hazards, pre-planning, thought and initial responsibility.
